Provides independent assurance on the integrity, performance, and compliance of ISP infrastructure and services across ISP domains, DWDM, OLT, and MDU, ensuring alignment with design standards and business objectives. Drives quality excellence in physical infrastructure (cabling, labeling, power), governance, and data accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design, Configuration
& Service Integrity:
•
Validate implementation against approved HLD/LLD designs across ISP
domains, DWDM, OLT, and MDU.
•
Audit configurations (wavelengths, PON profiles, VLANs, QoS, IP
schemes).
•
Verify end-to-end service provisioning and connectivity (core → access
→ customer).
•
Ensure correct mapping (DWDM circuits, OLT ↔ splitter ↔ ONT).
•
Identify misconfigurations, inactive services, and provisioning
mismatches, based on the approved configuration templates
•
Validate redundancy, protection, and resiliency mechanisms.
2. Physical Infrastructure
& Installation Quality:
•
Inspect site installation (racks, cabinets, ODF/FDP/MDU boxes).
•
Verify equipment mounting, alignment, and physical condition.
•
Ensure proper labeling (rack, port, fiber, customer-level
identification).
•
Audit cable management (routing, dressing, segregation, no congestion).
•
Validate fiber handling (bend radius, cleanliness, no stress or
damage).
•
Check power cabling (secure connections, no exposed wires).
•
Ensure compliance with environmental standards (cooling, cleanliness,
safety).
3. Power, Performance
& Capacity:
•
Validate power systems, redundancy (dual feeds), and battery backup.
•
Verify grounding/earthing and electrical safety compliance.
•
Check optical signal levels (DWDM spans, PON links).
•
Assess bandwidth utilization, congestion, and oversubscription.
•
Identify performance issues linked to poor installation or
configuration.
4. Inventory,
Documentation & Data Accuracy:
•
Cross-check physical installation vs OSS, GIS, and inventory systems.
•
Validate accuracy of network records, service data, and asset tracking.
•
Ensure documentation (diagrams, labeling schemes, records) is up to
date.
•
Identify missing, duplicate, or inconsistent data.
•
Ensure full traceability (service ↔ port ↔ fiber ↔ equipment).
5. Compliance, Quality
Assurance & Governance:
•
Ensure adherence to internal standards and regulatory requirements
(e.g., Communications, Space and Technology Commission).
•
Identify defects, risks, and non-compliance issues.
•
Audit contractor/vendor execution quality and SLA compliance.
•
Prepare audit reports with evidence and actionable insights.
•
Analyze trends, recurring issues (e.g., labeling, cabling), and
recommend improvements.
•
Support audit planning, risk assessment, and continuous improvement
initiatives.
